Rang up to get fusion connected on 30th Jan. Rang back the following day to provide my telecom acct details.

Today, 11 days later I rang back to get an update on what was happening with my fusion connection.

Suprise suprise, nothing. "We are waiting for your Telecom details".........

Couldn't really explain what had happened to the details that I had passed on nor why anyone hadn't bothered to contact me again to find out why I had "apparently" not called back with my details.

When I passed on my TELECOM account number AGAIN the CSR says "So your'e with IHUG aren't you" WTF!!!

This isn't the first problem I've had with xnet and have given them the benefit of the doubt before but if it wasn't for the hassle of telling all my friends and family another new email address (and my wife killing me) I would change to another provider.

Not happy at all, another 6-10 days.......................

My VFX hasn't worked for the past week either but I can't be bothered ringing back again I will just leave it until this matter is sorted first.

Why not get a domain name, (About $15 a year for a .com or $30 a year for a .nz), and never have to change your email address again. Or get a free Gmail account.

I am amazed that people still use ISP email accounts.

Hi Marmel,

I hear your frustations and am looking at it now, your VFX device is actually registered and online btw.

looking at all the notes it says we were waiting for your Telecom Account details which you said you gave to us, if this was the case then we have no excuse and have dropped the ball but we thought that you were phoning us back, generally we wouldn't do a call back to chase you up for them as we usually find people don't like being hassled, so this is the reason why the delays it's not an excuse but is what we had listed here in our systems.

It is however now in the system and being actioned which is probably small consolation for you and your bad experience but hopefully we will have you up and running in a few days, we know the Naked DSL process is complicated as it is extremely complicated due to the number of changes to systems required at Telecom, we are working pretty hard to make them work and it is 100 x as frustrating for us due to the delays in processes.

Update to this,

The issue was ours, upon further looking we have the telecom details you phoned in on the 31st, these were not passed on through so the order was sitting awaiting the details you already provided us. Once again no excuses we have made the mistake and are now looking at why.

All I can offer at this stage is our apolagies on the mistake and hope to have you fully online shortly.

A big thanks to Cameron and Phil from wXc who have now sorted this matter out.

Fusion was connected within two days and my customer link has also gone through today. Now just waiting for the final number port to go through in 4-5 days.

I am already enjoying the voice message email service, very cool.

Some quality issues with my vfx at this stage ( a bit of an echo) but as I have good down and upstream speeds I'm sure I can get this sorted, I will cal xnet in the morning. Might be my crap modem, DSL-502T.
