I had a Vodafone bill due on Feb 24, I was out of the country at the time so I didnt notice that my automatic credit card payment didnt process.

On March 3 I got a text from VF advising that a system error was at fault and that the payment would be processed that day.

All well and good, the payment went through then.

Now I've just got my next bill, and lookie here, a late payment fee for last month. Thats a tad unfair.

To add insult to injury, I discovered that my $5 /day data roaming charge turned into $10/day because it has treated my phone and extra sim (which share 1 data plan) as two. A little sneaky and it would have been nice to have been warned about that when I was asking about it before I went away.

I have not rung the call centre. Past Experience has taught me that this method works better.

Please help kind VF-Geekers.

@kiwifidget Late payment fee needs to be looked into further, I agree

$5 roaming is fair as its per connection / SIM card this is very clear under the $5 roaming terms and conditions

Hi Johnr,

DONT PANIC!

I found a late fee reversal on page 6 of my 9 page invoice.

3 pages after the late fee charge appeared.

My apologies for not spotting this before posting.

But really, 9 pages! Reversals of charges should really appear directly beneath the charge, just to avoid confusion.

My bad, I didnt read the terms and conditions re data roaming. I did however speak to a ninja in-store and I left there with the impression that I could take both devices and it would cost $5/day. This would not be the first time an in-store ninja has given me incorrect advice. I'm not arguing the charge, $80 so my Mum could use her ipad while we were on holiday was worth it, just unexpected. Bad ninja.

@kiwifidget The Vodafone Ninja is correct you can take both devices and it would cost $5 per day X 2 so $10 per day

:)

My expectations often run in a different direction to the norm!

Good feedback on the reversal.

Please note: I have a professional bias towards Vodafone.

Yeah - I'm going to pass that on to the product deployment people and maybe Jeremy. There was a recent reversal trial for a group of customers so people are thinking about it at the moment.
