Hi im on the flood plan what ever mode I choose Adsl 2 , GDMT I get similar syncing stats around 5400/800
My line stats

noise margin downstream: 12 db
output power upstream: 12 db
attenuation downstream: 31 db

noise margin upstream: 12 db
output power downstream: 20 db
attenuation upstream: 17 db

From telecom exchange sfats

Distance: 2183
db: 64
Ohms: 442
Loading coils: 0

Im located in Onehunga/Penrose using zyxel 660hw-61 ,firmware upgraded and no difference

This isn't an issue, ADSL2 is not available the hardware has been changed in a number of exchanges but the actual ADSL profiles are not available yet untill Telecom is ready to turn it on. You may notice slightly different sync speeds but that is it at this stage

How did you find the distance to your local exchange?

his figure seems like telecom provisioning told him...

otherwise downstread attenuation : 31 / [13.81] gives him 2244m roughly.

Is this why my modem sync at about 8Mbps and say attainable is 11Mbps, but actual is 7.4Mbps?
(By the way, last night 8:30 I've downloaded 200MB from Microsoft in 4 minutes, nice.)
