Internet extremely slow had everyone in the house screaming at me, so I log into my computer and check the usage meter online and my usage cap has been set to 100MB and I got rate limited at 2008-02-16 12:13:46.

Was there a fault in Xnet system that would cause this? Or did someone hack my account.   Anyway I am changing my password.

Actually it seems like a fault, cause when I goto Manage Data usage I see my cost as $68.08 and I have used 7.94MB this month.   How is this possible when I am on River plan?    Even on Flood it would be under $60.

Also I have signed up to Fusion a couple of days ago and if i were on Fusion then it would be $78.08 would it not?   hmm I clicked on unlimited data usage and it shows my base price is $59.95.

I dare not touch the usage dragging thing and update it I dunno what it will end up being set as. :S

I dont think you will find that its a fault as the Xnet usage meter starts off at the beginning of each month with the base price and then the $ get added on as you use your data. 7.94MB or is that 7.94GB as if it was GBs the cost to date would be about right for the plan you are on. Incidentally I am on fusion here and the cost to date doesnt actually show on the usage meter as the fusion plan needs to be included into the software. Cost to date N/A for this plan is what I see at the moment

Oh sorry it is GB. Please explain how this is right? What is this $59.95 plan? As far as I know I am still on Xnet River FS/128 (I sync at 160kbps UP still) so the price is $33.95 + around $8 = 41.95, not $68.

Sorry my mistake when I saw your base price of $59.95 I took that as being your starting price each month before the data was added. I would say then yes there is some mistake and a call to customer services would be a good idea

HI

When I phoned for connection to Fusion they reset my cap to 100Mb however a quick phone call to the Helpdesk and it was fixed then and there.

Hello hpj2007,

Unfortunately it sounds like your account has been setup with the incorrect data cap, the default value is 100meg. If you can PM me with your username and the cap you wanted i can correct the setting for you and arrange to have your usage thus far reset back to zero.
