Hi

I use to be on wXc broadband (River) and loved the speeds I was getting which typically was around 3.5MB for downloads.

Now I have changed over to Fusion and my downloads are at 61kps.

Am I supposed to change settings on my modem or something?

Thank you.
Roger

My Fusion Download speed is 7.65Mbps but the Upload is 34.8kbps !! previously upload was around 700kbps . During the test noting downloading or uploading, no one was on the phone. First time noticed very slow upload speeds with Fusion.

Hello prisk,

Most likely what has happened is your cap has not been set correctly and your connection is limited (happens more times than we like due human error in setting up the account). If you could PM me your username or account number i can check this and correct it to the cap you requested (also include cap you wanted in PM).

Thank you. WxC staff kindly fixed this small error for me overnight sometime while I was sleeping. I was surprised because I thought their helpdesk was only open  8am-8pm.

Thanks WxC! Laughing Now I am full-speed ahead again. Yeehaa! Cool

Looks like this issue has not been resolved yet, a router reset should fix it:

Oh this is a known issue? Yea, router reset worked for me, thanks coffeebaron

may be I should schedule auto reboot of my router every day, this will keep my other half happy so that I can do my experiments Smile

I know of this happening only twice to me in the few months they have had the issue.  For me my upload got dropped to about 110kbps which is still fine for VFX.  It is February, I would hope that the issue gets resolved soon.  Xmas is long gone, almost Easter!  (Not complaining, just fishing for an update from XNet.)

Just as a matter of interest for anybody reading this thread who are considering swapping ISP's to WxC, now that the tech guys have fixed my connection for me, my download speed is just in excess of 6MB - compared that to my old Ihug's full speed connection I was getting approx 3.5MB.

Woohoo, go WxC! Cool I am your latest ardent fan...

I know this is a bit OT, but how does one get access to that particular xnet speedtest version/app?
I used to get that, but now when I do a speedtest from the xnet site, I get the Ockla speedtest (similar to speedtest.net one)
