Hi everyone,

Had a bizzare situation today where i was trying to ring a landline from my vodafone mobile, it came back with a message saying the number
you have tried to call is currently inactive or invalid. The weird thing about it is I haved called this number before from a landline and I also tried it
with my friends Telecom Mobile and it went through fine. It is a local christchurch landline number. Has anyone heard of this happening before?
Would this be caused on the vodafone or telecom landline network?

thanks

Most likely the Vodafone network is the weak link here, as you have stated that you're friends Telecom mobile can call the number and connect ok. The only way to find out is to ring your service provider, Vodafone. Have you tried calling the number from another Vodafone mobile, just to confirm?

Vodafone nz would never block landline numbers. Sounds like a numbering plan issue. Easy fix log a job with vodafone customer service and ask for the job number this way you can track it.

have tried other vodafone mobiles and still not calling the landline number. If it is definitely a vodafone problem I will test my patience by calling
customer service. wish me luck!
