New Fusion installation.

Phones and internet not available from 2pm Friday.
Internet back on 8.30am Saturday.
Logged email to helpdesk at 1.30pm Saturday.

SPA2102 profile rule set up and power cycled many times.

Power light on SPA2102 was flashing earlier today for 3 hours but had a power failure.

Perhaps he wasn't in or something.

Nevertheless - we shouldn't be questioning why he is able to get access at a friends (or alternative place) but rather try and assist him :)

He mentioned that his internet is working, just the phones aren't. Must have an issue with his vfx service.

Light flashing, does that mean FLASH upgrade? First time you connect to VFX the FLASH is upgraded to the latest version. If the upgrade failed, then it has to be done manually.

You can never have enough Volvos!

Should the power light have been flashing for 3 hours?
Pulled the wrong power adapter and interrupted the process.

I have a copy of SPA2102 5.1.12 firmware but it warns me to check with the service provider for prior approval before installing.

What happens if I do the firmware upgrade myself?

No the power led should not be flashing it will only flash during upgrade generally about 30 secs to 1 minute only,

The current version is 5.1.12, so if it is alreday on this it won't upgrade

A few things to check , how is the spa setup, check the connections i,e make sure it is connected to the network,

If you have set it up as a Static IP make sure you have DNS entries as well

If the power led flashes right from power up it may be that the unit is faulty

Power LED is not flashing at present.
Surfing is okay.
ADSL speed 7616/896 Kbps

SPA2102 F/W 3.3.6

Physical set up in the following order.

Internet

Adsl router Dynalink RTA1320
Static IP 192.168.1.9
DNS1 58.28.4.2
DNS2 58.28.6.2

Next
SPA2102-AU router in bridge mode
F/W 3.3.6
Bridge Mode
Wan Static IP 192.168.1.8
WAN Management enabled
Provisioning profile
Profile Rule: /spa$PSN.cfg
Profile Rule B: http://58.28.20.69/configs/default/default$MA.cfg
DHCP disabled
LAN IP 0.0.0.0
DNS1 58.28.4.2
DNS2 58.28.6.2
Provisioning logs show successful connection and path at some earlier time so I guess the MAC address that WxC has is correct.

VFX phone number when called is unable to take call, but mail box is present.

My Telecom numbers (2) are reported as not currently allocated to a phone.
So it sounds like my old Telecom numbers have not been setup for temporary forwarding yet or for port forwarding.

Just confirming that the SPA2102 is between the ADSL router and the network.
The SPA2102 WAN port is connectedto the ADSL router and the SPA2102 LAN port is connected to the LAN switch

Remove Rule B and put this in the profile Rule

Put this in and power cycle the device and give it a few minutes , see how you go then

Gordy,

I suggest factory reset the SPA2102 then connect as follows:
RTA1320 --> WAN SPA2102 LAN --> PC

Then confirm you have Internet connectivity on the PC.
Reenter profile link & save (DO NOT alter any other config)
Power cycle SPA2102.
Wait 5 min

If successful you may be up and running. If not, you can try manual firmware upgrade & repeat
If successful, great, else you can try factory resetting the RTA1320 etc too, and try again.

Beyond that, ??

Once all is up and running, then you can play with other settings such as SPA2102 in bridge mode etc.

NB: to factory reset SPA2102, plug a phone in, lift handset, dial **** followed by RESET# (73738#), then 1 to confirm.
