Hi

I have a Linksys WAG54GP2 which used to have one of its two VOIP lines connected to WxC VFX service and was thus locked out to me.  Recently I transfered my VFX VOIP service to my Asterisk box - but since then I have never been able to access either of the VOIP configuration pages in the WAG54GP2 i.e. access to those pages is still locked out even after WxC released them.

I raised this as a fault with WxC and received quite a lot of assistance from the help desk - but the VOIP configuration pages are still locked and cannot be accessed i.e. the usercode and passwords provided just do not work.

Has anyone else transfered their VFX service to Asterisk and been able to access the VOIP configuration pages on their WAG54GP2?

I am just trying to avoid a factory reset on the device - which I am sure will probably clear it...

We see what the issue is here and it's due to the change to Astsrisk it has not produced a blank config for the wag to reset the settings, will fix this shortly and advise when you can restart this box to apply those changes

restart your wag now, give it a few minutes and see if it is then unlocked

Thanks Maverick - I appreciate the attention. I will restart the router when I get home.

PS Raising the issue here should in no way reflect that I could not get satisfaction from the help desk. I did spend a long time with a technician and received great service - it just did not resolve the problem.

No thats fine no problem with that at all,

I had a look at the tickets to see if I could find it as devices should be unlocked when they are removed, this took my interest as it was an Astersik box changeover, it found a hole for us that occurs because of the asterisk changeover and the helpdesk would not have been able to see what the issue was and would not have been able to find it, it required some backend changes to resolve it.

Thanks Maverick, any suggestions as to a usercode and password to use for the login - I have tried all of the common ones including my local Admin password (and no usercode and/or password at all) but still cannot get past the Admin Login dialog for the Voice pages!

I know that these WAG54GP2 devices had all kinds of access issues once a usercode and password had been set in the Voice section. Perhaps you can connect to the device and specifically set a usercode and password and email me the values.

Hi Mike,

If you could give your wag a reboot and make sure the profile_rule is in it should grab a blank config and become unlocked.

Stephen, I still cannot get past the Admin Login on the Voice page!

Admin/Admin, admin/admin, nil values in both usercode/password nothing gets me past the login dialog!

There is no "Profile_Rule" entry that I can see on any of the pages I can see.

I will send you an email with my phone number. I can probably explain what I am experiencing more clearly by phone.

Not sure what you did overnight - but this morning I can now select the Admin Login on the Voice page and get into the Voice configuration pages. Perfect....
