Does anyone know where I can find a list of brands & model numbers of phones that Vodafone acknowledges and supports?
(Reason for asking - I once inquired of CS if my application for prepay roaming was accepted and they wouldn't check on it because my phone type "is not supported by Vodafone.")

Where are you thinking of roaming? Vodafone NZ has many camel roaming countries! (work in prepay mode)

Haven't heard of a list other than the fact that your mobile can connect to the network.

Where are you roaming to? Prepay already allows roaming in a handful of countries automatically.

Hence my interest in finding a list of phones that ARE supported by Vodafone.

Its the whole package of a handset!

Even if its a make and model sold by Vodafone NZ and its iimported you will be in the same boat if something goes wrong!

Different operatoers around the workd use different software/firmware versions

Basically though only phones sold by Vodafone retailers or online are supported.

I think I knew most of that already, but the on three trips I had to Europe at various times past we used Sony-Ericsson T100, Motorola V171, Motorola L6 and good old reliable Nokia 5110. I had no problem making and receiving voice calls, text messages and voice mail. Certainly UK, Italy, Czech Republic, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore must use systems compatible enough not to upset my phones!

Thank you very much for directions to the list that I was seeking.
Three of those phones featured and the L6 must have been added sometime after my ill-fated call to CS when "Motorola L6" turned out to be the wrong thing to say.
