Admins, any chance this could be made into a Sticky??

I would like to ask fellow TelstraClear Digital TV subscribers in Wgtn / CHCH if they would be interested in having Nasa TV on the Cable TV as I do miss this.

If you could list name (or PM me if you prefer to not have it public) then I can collect together a list of names of customers who would be interested in having Nasa TV on the cable.  Hope to do this by the end of March and see how many we have on the list.

To me it would be also logical to ask if you would be prepared to pay extra for it.  So if you could reply with:

Name - Interested - Amount extra you would be prepared to pay IE:

Bartender (not my real name) - Very much so - $1-2 per month extra

Hopefully with enough names TCL may be interested in adding it as a new "TCL Only" subscription channel much like bloomberg, DT&L etc.  I think it would be a good point of difference between TCL and Sky IMHO.

Already had a few interested.  Any others?

I rather see Cartoon Network Boomerang first than NASA TV though.

Boomerang isn't FTA anywhere is it?  So it would need to be bought off either Foxtel in Aus, or brought in via an encrypted feed.  As I don't see it anywhere on CBand.  I was looking for things that were FTA in the sky, and could be re-broadcast without needing to pay extra.  Which NASA TV is (from my understanding), and Boomerang isn't.

I too would much rather see Boomerang than Nasa TV, although Nasa TV would be a nice replacement for TechTV (Oh, How I miss thee). I doubt that I'd pay extra for it though, especially as it is currently FTA. I'm a nerd at heart, but I'd rather see the Hanna Barbera cartoons than an astronaut fixing something.

I wouldn't say no to NASA TV, but wouldn't want to pay extra for it... I think it would be a good fit for the Saturn Extra package, and keep the price for that add-on as it is now.

Would TCL adopting NASA TV lead to Sky doing the same? I would support it but not sure I would pay more for it since its FTA.
