When you sign up with xnet, will xnet automatically disconnect you with xtra and there for i wont get the bill for the internet any more from xtra? only the bill from xnet which will go on my telecom account bill any way?

or will they disconnect me from xtra but i have to stop the bill?

I believe they instruct your current ISP to stop billing you for ADSL and they pay the disconnection fee, but I have no experience with that myself.

Your XNet broadband charges will not go on your Telecom bill, you will be billed separately by WxC.

You can never have enough Volvos!

I don't know, but it should be only one of them. Anyway, for XNet you only pay after you have received the service in other words you will be on XNet for a month before receiving your first invoice and then you have another 2 or 3 weeks before payment is due.

I assume your concern is with possibly having to fork out double the amount for one month, but I would not worry about that. Anyway, companies can not charge you for a service you have not received and you can have only 1 ADSL ISP on your line at a time. I believe Xtra will bill you only up to the day of the changeover.

Most companies use the prepaid system for Phone or Internet charges, so they would have sucked your money away already, but usually when you change companies, they will credit you the unused amount. (in this case Telecom should - which they did in my case when switching)

The other company (this case WxC) will usually charge for the part-month of any services that you have been signed up for during the time that it has been told that it has taken over any services from the previous company.

In short, Telecom should give you a credit (or if you haven't paid your latest bill, a smaller bill) and WxC should charge you for a part-month amount.

I dont know about this situation BUT I have had experiance where the winning supplier has notified the losing supplier yet the losing supplier still continued to bill, when asked the old supplier they indicated that it is up to me to confirm the transfer / disconnection. In the end it wouldnt hurt to call the losing provider and confirm the changeover

I can confirm this situation has also happened to a client of mine. The losing provider does receive notification when a client transfers, whether they change their systems to reflect this is a different story.

N00dy is right, call the losting provider and tell them it's over.

Agree, phone them after your XNet connection has gone live. A number of people that were with Clear told me they kept on being billed after services were stopped, but I am sure there are others that does that as well.
