I got four computers to connect to the internet and i bought a D-Link DSL-G604T wireless router to connect three computers wirelessly and one with wires.
I have no experience with cable internet, i thought it would be similar to when i was with telecom but it seems i am wrong.
I tried to connect my d-link router to the surfboard but it did not come with the right cable (cant remember the name of it), I need some info on what adaptor to buy and what to do after i've got them joined.
I know my way around the d-links router setup i have worked with a DSL-504G for years with no problems.
Can you go step by step as I will print out this and use it as a guide while i'm setting up the connections.

604T is an ADSL router and can NOT act as a router for a cable modem as its WAN interface is designed for an ADSL connection.

Spark Max Fibre using Mikrotik CCR1009-8G-1S-1S+, CRS125-24G-1S, Unifi UAP, U6-Pro, UAP-AC-M-Pro, Apple TV 4K (2022), Apple TV 4K (2017), iPad Air 1st gen, iPad Air 4th gen, iPhone 13, SkyNZ3151 (the white box). If it doesn't move then it's data cabled.

See http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=44&TopicId=18975&page_no=3 re: Linksys router with DD-WRT firmware. Dlink routers can have problems on the cable network due to ARP traffic and the 604T is of no use whatsoever.
