Hey Guys,

I currently have VFX running to my asterisk system hosted in a datacentre, from there I have 2 SIP sessions running to my WAG54GP2 and these are running fine. I then have a Cisco 7640 connected directly to my WAG54GP2, this device has been running smoothly for some time.

Today I purchased a SPA2102 and have this situated about 20m away falling off a wireless bridge (I use these to connect XBOX's and other devices in the house. The SPA2102 seems to work ok, however running an echo test and also talking over the device seems to drop a few parts of my voice. I thought this may be the wireless, so I attached my cisco 7640 onto the bridge and that worked fine.

This leads me to my question regarding the SPA2102, are there any settings I can use to modify the packet to be any better, i.e. increase the rtp size or something? What can be modified to make this device work nicely over a stable wireless connection. I'd also like to know how I can setup QOS on the WAG gateway for voip traffic coming in via the ethernet, i.e. for the 7640 and the SPA device

Extra points to note:
* I'm the only wireless device in the area, so no noise here
* Other devices seem to work fine on the connection.
* I graph the usage of the wireless and their is no traffic going across at the time of testing (no big downloads)
* I have great connectivity to the exchange.
* WAG gateway calls work just fine.
* SPA is so we have a phone downstairs and a charger downstairs rather than in the cupboard upstairs.

Before you try anything else - are the SPA2102 and Cisco both using the same codec? Obviously if the SPA2102 was using alaw or ulaw and the Cisco was using something like G729 then wireless could be an issue.

Yes they are, I've actually just set the jitter buffer to low on the SPA and it seems to be ok for now, will give feedback later.
