So...looking for a phone to replace my ageing Note 3.

I really like the look (and price) of the Vodafone Smart Platinum 7 but the OnePlus 3 is looking good too.

The only thing that really puts me off the OnePlus is the OxygenOS vs the almost vanilla Android that the VSP7 is running.

Any opinions on the OxygenOS?

What are their firmware updates like on the Oneplus? Would we ever see Nougat on the OnePlus?

From what I see vodafone don't really update their devices, they tend to sell cheap and then bring out new devices with updated android.

If it was me I would go oneplus or wait a month or so to see what the new nexus range will be like.

The next Nexus devices are planned to launch in around October - go with the Oneplus 3, they're great phones.

The idea of Oxygen has put me off too. Do you run that or CM (or something else)?

@mdf I am using a Nexus 5x at the moment on rooted stock :) but before that on my OP2 I was running CM.
