Yesterday in rural Waikato I had a device using 2degrees SIM show Gre. I know the E is EDGE. I can only assume the r is roaming.
Does Vodafone supporting EDGE?

Yeah. Which is what puzzles me.

 

These devices don't support GSM.

 

Vodafone don't support Edge.

 

I can explain the Ge. That is GPRS / EDGE which is what they display when out of 2degrees 2100 covergage.

 

But how the hell did I get Ger? Roaming to what? RBI?

2degrees support Edge. One assumes you're simply on their GSM network.
