Our work is updating phones as per our Vodafone contract and everyone going for iPhone 7's.

Being different I use Android and looking to replace the Note 5 I have. Now that there is no Note 7 whats a good option. Ideally would wait for Pixel phone. Is there any word on Vodafone doing it?

Else looks like S7 Edge might be only real other option for high end. Unless the new Sony XZ is coming soon also.

Anyone know Vodafone's eta on new upcoming phones.

I just bought the XZ outright from Noels for $850 or thereabouts (already forgotten the exact amount!) because I was led to believe it wouldn't be on VF because the flagship Sonys all go to Spark only. Mad choice by Sony but hardly their first.

Backing this up is the fact that my completely independent purchase came in a box marked "Made For Spark New Zealand" and has a Spark splash screen - something I find very irritating.

Although it cost me money up front, I have been able to change my VF plan to a much cheaper one saving me over $350/year.

It's a great phone: if you can get it, I recommend it.

That's a shame, as the one criticism I would level at VF is that their handset range is a bit limited.

Pixel isn't as great as its hyped. The phone initially only got meh ratings. The camera is just OK, its not waterproof, its just a HTC model with a different skin.

I wanted one but have been reading the reviews and am unimpressed with it. Sure you get the advertorials pushing it, but in reality you are buying it for the operating system, which has nothing really special or outstanding about it .. yet.
