I dont even think vodafone could answer this at this stage. I could be wrong but i would say its covered by NDA.

The unbundling process involves the LLU seekers (companies like Vodafone and Orcon) giving Telecom a list of desired exchanges and Telecom then deciding which ones will be unbundled next. They only have to open up five exchanges per quarter but last time round offered up 20 exchanges, which is great news.

Unfortunately, all the exchanges are in Auckland. Vodafone does, however, plan to unbundle exchanges outside Auckland so Hamilton will be on the list of places we'll apply for. There's no time frame for that at the moment however.

What we've said is that by the end of the year we'll have unbundled all of Auckland and have 20 other exchanges unbundled in other parts of NZ.

Cheers

Paul

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the clarification! Myself and many other Ihug customers are hoping we join our neighbours down the road from Auckland enjoying the upgraded speeds before the end of the year :)

Cheers :)
