Have just had Always Connected data added to my mobile (all day issues on the cable network in Island Bay). Is it speed limited? My normally solid 4G connection has just rolled back to HSPA.

I got a text message saying the data had been added to my account, then ~5 minutes of no data at all. Now it seems stuck on HSPA. Just wondering whether this is accident or design?

Kodiak has it at the moment (see the Cable thread) and he seems to be flying along on 4G

How much data do Vodafone provide on the "always connected" offer?

@johny99: 100GB. It's a great offer. Some issues actually getting it livened up though. Wish the twitter guys could do it too.

While on hold to query this it magically jumped to 4G. I guess it takes a while to settle in.

Much snappier.

No it's not speed restricted, It's just a 100GB addon valid for 7 days, They need to be in market plans to have the offer

There is nothing to settle in,

Something was going on. As soon as I got the always connected text message, my data connection dropped away completely. I know since I clicked on the link in the text message and got nothing. No internet, no data logo in the status bar. After approx 5 minutes, it came back but was quite slow and I had the HSPA logo in the status bar. After another 10 minutes or so, it jumped up again to 4G.

Could be this, or as Jase says just coincidence. According to the VF status page, it's affecting up to 48 customers. And we could all be accessing the same cell tower (though there are two serving Island Bay). Just seemed odd that it clunked out as soon as the text message arrived. If it was just congestion, I wouldn't have expected it to pick up again after only 15 minutes. In any event, working fine now so the household is happy.
