Pretty sure we all speculated that eventually the giant would crush Xnet into submission - well looks like it has finally happended.

NextGen are no longer adding new services to residential accounts as of the end of last year. Just prior to Christmas i setup a new Ceritfied line and wanted today to change one of my existing Open VFX lines to a certified line in another area code and apparently this is a no go.

Thanks VFX/NextGen/Vodafone whoever you are now - if thats how you treat loyal customers of a decade, I'll ensure you go the way of Telecom as I have done with all of my clients/family and friends. You will now also lose my mobile business and the current mobile/VFX business of my existing clients/family and friends that i have setup and recommedned your services to over the years.

RIP VFX you used to be great but now you simply blow.

Left them a while back after a "change in attitude" after the acquisition.

It's weird in this space, so many mergers and acquisitions etc. and customer service ALWAYS suffers. Its like the buyers lose a big chunk of the value with every buy.

Were you not given other options for the certified line?

I was told no new connections as of last year.

I explained that this wasnt a new connection it was simply re-purposing an existing line (albeit changing area code)

I asked why exactly this was and wasnt given an answer.

I was offered no other options.

Yup, pretty annoying as generally when ringing and requesting changes/adds (even the call just before christmas) was answered and actioned promptly, efficiently and without issue (although whoever i spoke to didnt know the SPA500 Series were certified devices although to be fair im not sure if this ever was advertised.
