PaulBags: So it can't be used for prepay connections? Because The Warehouse is giving these away with new low end vodafone locked phones. They have a special on, "free vodafone sim with vodafone phones" - and I just realised that I can still add a prepay sim for free, they're just also giving out one of these? O_o. Confusing, I thought they were forcing me to take that variant.

They can be used / swapped onto existing Prepay / Postpay mobile numbers, They are 100% the same if you walked into a VodafoneNZ store and said you lost your SIM card and want a SIM swap done to obtain your Prepay / postpay mobile number back
