email not working on home network

Had a strange incident yesterday with my email.

I could send and receive when logged in to mobile data on my phone but on my home network I was only able to receive emails .

When i sent emails error 10060 came up.

The issue fixed itself after about 2 hours but thought it was very odd

Any ideas why this would happen ?

Have you done a Google search on ' sending email error 10060 ' ?

Sounds like your ISP had a small problem or were updating the smtp server at their end ... possibly offline whilst they did whatever they did?

Did you happen to close/re-open your email client and/or reboot the machine before noticing that all was well again?
