Hi,

Anyone with this model of phone or other Nokia phones still able to get CNN on Sky Mobile TV?   For the last few days there has been a new entry on the sky mobile menu called 'Adult Swim' Family guy & more.    When I select this one it says 'loading CNN' but the Family Guy cartoon show appears.

Three calls to Vodaphone in 5 days resulted in this advice:
Day 1     'It's a daylight saving problem, mobile TV is down till mid-week.'

Next call.   'Leave it till Wednesday, it may fix itself.'

Today.    'We confirm that CNN is still a channel on our system.    Please take your phone to a Vodaphone shop.'

As my last problem with this service was confined to my model of Nokia and maybe some other Nokias it could be a software problem
on my phone.    It seems that every time Vodaphone changes their software these Nokia 6234 phones or those with my older firmware are affected.

Any comments very welcome!

P.S.   I'm ready to cancel this sky mobile tv service as I have just found AnyTV program as promoted on this month's PC World NZ
magazine.   I find I can get CNN as one of the free channels on this service.

cheers,

Thanks Gerg, that's interesting.    The CSR I last spoke to checked with her manager.   Apparently he told the CSR that CNN should still be there.   However, judging by the answers I got from the other CSRs I have zero confidence in what they tell me!!    Sky NZ has a habit of dropping programs that many of its subscribers enjoy.  e.g. CNBC was dropped a few years ago when kiwis started to go off things Americana.    At the same time Sky TV dropped a half hour highlights news package from the USA....

As AnyTV.com gives Adult Swim Family Guy as a channel on its free version of the program, maybe Sky NZ/Vodaphone are getting that channel for next to nothing??

Hi guys -

Can confirm that CNN has been removed from the SKY Mobile TV service and replaced by Adult Swim. Nothing to do with phone model/software or Daylight Savings.

Thanks for the up-date Cliffy!
Funny thing was each time I rang the Vodaphone CSRs I asked a straight forward question.    'Can you tell me if CNN has been deleted from the Sky Mobile TV channels?'    Now, does that sound like a trick question?

The other day I was listening to an American author who has written a book on customer service.    He talks about the 'enraged customer' who cannot get meaningful helpful service from businesses.    The type of customer 'service' I get from Vodaphone has made me an 'enraged customer.'    Bloody hell, how can Telecom Xtra rate so poorly on customer satisfaction?   Whenever I rang
Xtra's help desk their customer service & general helpfulness was a 100 times better than Vodaphone.
