Are the settings available for me to setup a gsm-sip gateway on vfx? (i.e. a non vfx sanctioned sip device)

WinkNo sorry , we will not alow unsupported devices , there are numerous replys from me on this topic, but basically is that we if sanction the device we know everything works and are accountable for the calls, if we allowed unsupported devices we couldn't and we would spend all our time chasing down faults caused by device's being misconfigured....and generally the customer would never believe that it is thier issue or device

Why not put your SIP GSM device behind asterix? Then you could use asterix as a SIP proxy, remembering though that asterix is not completely supported by Xnet

Cheers

Thanks Maverick, fair call and a good business move for all the non-geeks in the country (most people).

I just saw that you had loosened the reigns on Astersk a little and wondered if that applies to other SIP units.

Thanks for the reply.

Mac

davide - I would setup asterisk, i used it with italk a while back, but it's just another box to look after, if I can avoid that i will !
