hello everyone

well now that the help desk is closed for the night i thought i'd post this here in the event someone has some helpful advice...

using a WAG200 the spa2102 works fine... however swapping the wag200 to a Dlink 502T only the power and internet lights on the spa2102 come on... no phone lines...

any ideas? we are taking the wag200 back tomorrow as we suspect it may be the cause of a few problems, in the mean time i was hoping to set up the D-link till we sort another wireless modem/router (suggestions welcome for that aswell).

It will be the router stopping the packets most likely,

1. When it is all connected can and have a PC connected to the LAN port of the SPA2102 can you browse the WEB
2. If you can, have you set the SPA up as a static IP ? if so did you set the DNS entries as well ?
3. If you can't browse the web then that will be an issue obviously.
4. Also check what the LAN IP addresses is set for on the DLink, and what the SPA2102 are set for hopefully they are not the same....ie 192.168.1.x
5. Does the router have a firewall, try disabling that if it does and work backwards from there
