Hmm. And now it's come back, and gone, and come back and gone and.... seems to be sticking around now but time will tell.
I re-seated the coax out of desperation just-in-case, not sure if it helped or not though, might have been coincidence.

Sigh, a week later and it seems to have bit the dust again.
Now downlink this time either (rcv light blink). Since about 90 minutes ago.

Out of more desperation, pulled the wall plate and found a splitter in the cavity from long long LONG ago when Paradise/Saturn first installed it and I had two cable modems, removed that and it's got me enough signal to get online again, barely I suspect with downstream SNR of 28.4dB and power of -19.7dBmV

It will come as no surprise to anybody, that I'm an idiot.
Today I thought "hey, wait a second, I think that the cable is on the exterior wall down the side of the house where nobody ever goes.. maybe I should take a look".
And indeed, here's your problem...
Original install back in 2000, 2001 ran the cable along the bottom most weatherboard, and a helpful dog apparently decided it didn't suit the look of the property :-/ Chewed right through the outer case, shield, and inner case leaving just the copper in a couple of places, I'm amazed that the SB5101 managed to get anything over that cable.
Anyway, handliy had some RG6 in the shed so replaced the damaged section, and armoured it.
This looks a bit better now :-/
