So I have rung a tech ninja about doing this and was informed it would take up to half an hour to process this request. Personally I'm a bit miffed how this can take half an hour..... So rolling on 18hours later the assigned password is not allowing access to said email account.

Really just looking for information from anyone who has done this before and how long it took.

Secondly maybe someone from Vodafone can enlighten me as how this procedure takes up to half an hour.

Paradise stuff is very very old and I think now done manually by one small team. I would be amazed you can get right department and it done in that time. We used to have to ask for 2nd tier support callback and it took a minimum of 24 hours and sometimes 2-3 calls to even happen. This was for a business account.

Good luck and hope does happen but ....

If i could remember my password i bet that it would still work. You could access the admin page externally too...
I recall as a kid using Paradise dial up!

If you dont have any luck let me know. I got contacts that can sort this but rather not harass them before all routes have been exhausted.

Can you not still just change the password on the website? Or is that what takes at least half an hour to process?

I used to be able to do this, and it would take about 30 seconds :)

If you have the current username/password then I would suggest having a look at the Paradise website.

Yep, I had paradise net access the whole time i worked there. Hard to train the staff that work there with Clear, Ihug, VF, chorus and paradise systems. oh yah wave too. I knew every system inside out but doubt the others would even know half of what i forgot.

No, back when I worked at TCL. No such thing as a Ninja back then - Faults staff could do the lot.

One of the things I have found is that paradise emails that are sent to me,  tend to go straight into my spam folder. When I check why this is occurring, it is because their IPs are usually on an RBL.

UPDATE:

i rung the ninja again and re-requested a password change, and i did ask is the change is instant or takes a half hour to update. i was informed it was instant. fantastic! after having a chat witrh the nice guy it was all changed promptly and with great customer service, i found out the ninja had only been working there for 5 weeks.

Id like to say this round of tech support was great and the nice gentelman was very helpful for only being in the job 5 weeks.

@VodafoneANYONE fantastic outcome and great service second time round.

Probably a wakeup call to use something like gmail, where it can all be managed online. People who still have paradise email accounts who send me emails, often seem to end up in my spam folder. Just today I had to pick one out of it, and can see that telstras IP is on an  RBL as shown at https://mxtoolbox.com/SuperTool.aspx?action=blacklist%3a210.246.28.97&run=toolpage  , and it is showing it on the Spamhaus ZEN RBL
