Pre-empting the mods here, I think you'll find this has been discussed at length in this thread: http://www.geekzone.co.nz/forums.asp?ForumId=65&TopicId=19794

If you are having trouble with national access, then send an e-mail to the help desk.  You should not get that with NZ sites.

zounds!!!! batman...

geez, that's gotta be one of the weirdest things i've seen in a while... the speed test starts of at about 2Mbps... then rapidly drops to about 600Kbps, then slowly counts down to like nothing... its been running for about 4 mins now and is down to 14Kbps... lol

The thing that springs to my mind straight away is that either the speedtest on nzdsl is broken... pretty unlikely or Xnet are doing some exceptionally strange packet shaping/buffering/filtering/something with traffic.

Just to make sure I am totally wrong I downloaded some files from wicks.co.nz...  at a fairly static 270Kbps... weird...

quick everyone try the speedtest :P

You may wish to contact WorldxChange support to look into it further. There can be a lot of factors - line (sync) speeds, congestion, or simply throttling... till they check it out, there may be some premature conclusions reached.

Hiya,

I took a look this morning at your account and last time there was a change made to it the data cap was set incorrectly so you were throttled.  I have now fixed that for you.

Thanks,

Wendy

I personally use the name from profiles to search our database, Wendy most likely does the same.

Its when they tell you what you are wearing that you want to start panicking (especially if its last seasons stuff...)

Haha

I checked your name on here and then made an educated guess and checked the rate limited customers and found you.  If I hadn't matched it there I wouldn't have put it together.

I could claim I was psychic but that would only get me into trouble when I can't find a customer. :)

Thanks!
