I have an Asterisk box
I recently added another line but have an intermittent where inbound calls are not working correctly. When you dial the number, WxC give me the message "The party you have called is unavailable" or similar when calling in from outside. However if I dial it again straight away it goes through.

Anyone struck this as any ideas gratefully received

Looks like the Invites are being sent to your asterisk box but it is not replying, we are then timing out the request which will push it off to the voice announcement.

Try running some traces on your asterisk box (i.e. ngrep -d eth0 port 5060 and host 58.28.20.150) while placing the inbound call to see if you see the invite, if not I would suspect that your router is not passing the call through.

Cheers

Josh

Bet me to it Josh Wink

What we have here is us on the left and your device on the right, IP's removed obviously, we send the invite to your rgistered device but after 6 seconds of no reply the call times out.

Yes I am a employee of WxC (My Profile) ... but I do have my own opinions as well Wink

Thanks
Had disabled my external firewall so should have been routing all traffic. Will check it out again along with the Microsoft ISA 2004 firewall
