Hello folks... Does anyone know of any option to discard voice mails after they are forwarded to the nominated e-mail address?

My in-laws are going away and fear their mailbox may overflow. Currently all messages are automatically forwarded to their e-mail address already.

As far as I know, it can not currently be automatically deleted.  Perhaps you could phone their number once a week, log into their voice mail and clear it for them.

This thread from December discussed this. Unless it's been released in the meantime (and I'm not aware) this feature isn't being made available for public consumption.

There is a fuction to allow this, but it does give access to a few other options that Customers could alter and effect the VoiceMail working , the fuctions are mutually exclusive i'm afraid so we have elected to not allow this area of the Web Portal, We may look at changing this on an indivuial basis for customers that don't want to store VM and only want it forwarded to EMail.

Does this mean we can request the setting change via the help desk and you make it for us, or does it mean you can consider giving individuels access to the option so they can change it themselves?  I do not mind which, but just want to get a clear answer for the forum.

A little bit undecided at present, but most probably it will be a request feature and possibly available for selection through the Viewbill portal for activation as will be the advanced Feature Set. Still looking at the requirements for this, I may do personal requests up untill I have decided depending on the requirements and numbers requiring this.

So can I send a request up for this specific number? It needs to be active for six weeks only...

Yes that would be fine all that happens is that we disable Unified Messaging and forward the Voicemail to an EMail address,

Points to Note,
No Voice Mail Indication on the phone
No Voice Mail left on the server
Voice mail is forwarded directly to an EMail account and this si the only record of it.
