I am trying to install Trixbox at home and I think I have set everything up correctly but when I try and dial I get "All circuits are busy" message.

And my config looks like:

allow=ulaw&alaw
canreinvite=no
disallow=all
dtmfmode=rfc2833
fromdomain=as.wxcnz.net
fromuser=4831xxxx
host=as.wxcnz.net
insecure=invite,port
nat=yes
secret=****************
type=peer
context=from-trunk
username=***************

Not sure where I am going wrong.

Any suggestions?

Chris

Do you have an outbound route set and a dialplan?

You realise this means you have to dial 9 to access an outside line? You're not just trying to dial a 7 digit local number directly?

Yup have been dialing 9 first then my home number.

Just changed the dial plan to remove the 9 and am now getting "your call cannot be completed as dialed"

The dial plan is now:

NXXNXXXXXX
NXXXXXX

If I dial 04 529xxxx I get the aove error

but if I dial 529xxxx I get the all circuits error

Did you follow a guide when setting TB up?
Have you ever successfully had this particular installation of TB successfully making a call with any other provider?

  • Click on ‘Trunks’ in the sidebar
  • Click on ‘Add a SIP trunk’
  • Outbound caller ID: (e.g. 091234567)
  • Never Override CallerID: Tick this
  • Maximum channels: 2 (VFX allows 2 simultaneous calls)
  • Trunk name: VFX 1 (Can be anything you want)

  • PEER details:

allow=ulaw&alaw

canreinvite=no

context=from-trunk

disallow=all

dtmfmode=rfc2833

fromdomain=as.wxcnz.net

fromuser=9xxxxxxx ;this is your VFX number with no leading zero

host=as.wxcnz.net

insecure=invite,port

nat=yes

secret=PASSWORD ;that VFX gave you when you phoned and got switched to VFX Asterisk platform

type=peer

username=AuthID ;from VFX as above

  • USER context: AuthID
  • USER details: (leave empty)
  • Register string: yourVFXNumber:PASSWORD:AuthID@as.wxcnz.net/yourVFXNumber

(YourVFXnumber = 9xxxxxxx -no leading zero)

(Password/AuthID from the new details WxC gave you - definitely not your VFX website login details).

Which guide? Mine? Someone else?

This guide (not for VFX) tells you how to set up a Gizmo trunk. Gizmo is free to sign up to, and doing so might shed light on where your problem lies (i.e. Gizmo works fine, your VFX settings are up the duff, Gizmo no work, then Trixbox or your network might be at fault).

Hi Tockly,

there is another forum with a similar issue, try setting the disallow=all BEFORE the allow=ulaw&alaw this has fixed it for the other user:

Cheers
