I've got the My Vodafone app widget set up on my Nexus 5X but for the last couple of weeks it hasn't been displaying my details. Instead it just says "There was a problem while fetching your information. Tap" (there's probably more text but it cuts out at this point).

I've restarted the phone several times over the last few weeks, removed the widget and added it back, gone into the app and signed out and then back in, nothing seems to fix it.

Is it working for other people?

It also annoys me that the widget doesn't seem to resize to the width of the screen. On my Nexus 5X it extends about 4/5's of the way across the screen and then there's a gap to the right of it. On previous phones it has always filled the entire width of the screen.

I'm not sure about the particular device you're using, but on the iPhone mine fails to show data usage on the graphical display so you have to navigate through to the data use metric to see what you've actually used.

I get the impression that their app is very broken and they don't really want to put resources into fixing it.

The widget used to show my current account balance and you could tap the widget to cycle through different displays that shows your remaining minutes and data. Something like this:

I didn't think the iPhone had widgets, so what you saw was probably different to the Android version of the app.

The widget is for the Android version. Plenty of resources attached to the app and this bug is under investigation.

Cheers

Cheers for that, it's good to know that it's not something at my end.

Any comment on the size of the widget? Was it built for a certain size screen or should it adapt to the screen size?

Since the update I can't view my Vodafone bill on my Samsung Galaxy A3. The old app let me do this perfectly.

Apologies, I mis-spoke - widget is fixed in size but bug fix is scheduled for release later this month.

Oh, ok. Maybe I was just lucky that on my last two phones the widget perfectly filled the width of the screen.
