Hi

i have had a my vdsl through a HG659 for quite some time. i am onto my 3rd replacement from vodafone.

I have always had problems accessing the usb printer connected through the modem. The printer is a brother HL2240D.

main problem is that the manuals always say that the address for the printer should be

http://192.168.1.1:631/printers/myprinter

However sometime in the past i started using

http://192.168.1.1:631/printers/BHL2-Maintenance

this worked until recently with wifi from my laptop till I had to change modem. It still works from my cable connected computer.

I cannot remember how i ever got the BHL2 address information and internet searches don't help.

I am running latest version of WIN10 on all computers and now have very latest firmware on modem.

Can anyone give me some advice on connecting a USB printers to this modem. The other printer a wifi colour printer and scanner is no problem but my kids need the laser duplex printer for mass printing.

Thanks in advance
