Hi,

Firstly, I have done my best to read through the recent vodafone media release regarding the dropping of hosted mail at the end of November:

https://www.vodafone.co.nz/email/

What I would like a specific answer on please, is if the smtp.vodafone.co.nz service from within vodafone red network will also be shutdown at the same time? I can't see any specifics mentioned in the FAQ etc.

We have a lot of networking scanning equipment installed in the field and our customers that use vodafone as an ISP are using smtp.vodafone.co.nz to enable email sending from these devices.

If I could please get a straight answer on this, it will help us greatly to prepare in advance for assisting our customers to move to an alternative 'gmail smtp' service etc.

Ps. I tried calling the vodafone helpdesk to ask about it, but since I wasn't a direct customer they seemed uninterested and the person didn't really understand what I was asking.

Many thanks :-)
