Hi there.
Used to have 2 lines and I'm back to 1 vfx line at the moment,but the second one remains locked. Few calls to the help desk and I was advised to reboot and that the second one "will" be unlocked, however it still remains locked, i.e. cannot get into the admin login section. Any help would be appreciated. ThanksCry

Ok here is what hapened. Couldn't get the  prompt "linkys config menu" after ****? Rang customer service and was advised to push and hold the rear "reset" button on the unit itself to do a factory reset- is that true? Anyway I did all that line 2 is still asking for password at the admin login tab? Still cannot get to the 2 line configuration ? Raised another ticket with customer service, so not quite sure what the problem is? Any other tips? Thanks

restart the device wait about 2 to 3 minutes then please try again

No luck.Still asking for the password and username. tried my usual router login u/name and p/word but keeps declining it. Reastarted it and tried all this maybe 5 minutes after the restart.

Try factory resetting again but hold the reset button in for about 30 secs this time. It has to be held slightly longer than normal to reset the voice side of things.

I did a factory reset. I was holding the button for more than 30 sec. The only thing that was reset was the modem side, the voice tab for line 2 is still the same-unaccessible? Also still asking for password for line 2?

Did you try this from the link to the other thread, you need to reset the voice settings using this


put a phone on line 1,

dial ****
You will hear a prompt "linkys config menu"

press 73738#

you will hear press 1 to confrim

press 1


This factory defaults the voice section, you can  then ccess the voice section and put the default rule back in.

I had one of these a while ago that just wouldn't reset. They way it was done was to send it a blank config (so will temporary loose VFX line), then once it was all open, send a correctly configured VFX config back to it, with the 2nd line open.

A factory reset using the reset button wil not reset the voice module guys, you will need to reset it using the procedure listed and then put back in the deafult config, this will apply to users that have 2 lines with VFX and then want to unlock the second line, it requires a reset of the unit and then picking p the default config to set the access levels for each line.

Here is the news. Have done a 3rd factory reset as per customer service advice and 2nd line remains locked. Also as per cust. service the WAG's don't have a voice command prompt i.e. you can't use the **** option to access the voice reset tab.? Was also advised not to put my adsl settings straight away and then go to the voice tab,but unfortunately it is still asking for password. Not happy especially when you pay$300+ for the unit. Might get a pap ATA and transfer my line to that and then get the WAG hopefully completely reset?

Don't know what you did,but all of the line 2 configuration is available now? Still no access to admin login but you can configure the line 2 which is what I was after. If you explain why was this hapening would be realy great,if not , thanks for sorting it out. It is fixed.
