This plan remind me of the old IHUG "grandfather plan" i.e peak/offpeak. So far I am very pleased with this plan.

Minor glitch at the begining relating to the bandwidth monitior, I think the firefox plugin still display weird data/cost.

Perhaps off peak be 2.am to 10 a.m (or 1.am - 9 a.m) ?

Reason : this is especially useful/helpful for gaming users;
same reason to offset the peaktime utube streaming why torrent plan is introduced?

IMO off peak should be free or at least 90 ~100 Gig :-) ( remember Slingshot off peak is free if or when
they introduced the new plan).
I sure most but not all torrent plan users will agree with this.

Ive been happy on it so far........ but I am a small time online gamer (maybe 10hrs a week if Im really lucky) and dont want to push my data up too much on peak. I have asked Recoil if theyve looked at running a Trackmania server but due to costs etc they dont seem too keen atm....but I play WoW as well, and it will slowly eat into my data.

Maybe a small need for a gamers plan where the hours are little more flexible but with a lower off peak data cap or something ? Just my 2c input Laughing

But overall, yay for the Torrent plan Smile

Hehe, i can see this going the same way for a lot of people as $10 txt did...

month 1: OMG 500txts! how will i (or my entire family, for that matter) ever use that many in 30 days?!?!?! Awesome!

month 2: Please up the amount of TXT's... my habits have changed drasticly and my kids now need at least 3000 per month EACH, 500 no longer suits.

Much like Wages, we'll always run out: even when increased.

So far, so good.  If my calculations are correct (and my flatmates remember not to go too hard at peak times) I should end up saving a couple of bucks each month with this plan.

I spent a couple of evenings moving to Azureus and setting up the SpeedScheduler plugin.  Now it seems to be working fantastically well.  I setup a few torrents during the day and they kick off and download over night.  It'll be interesting to see how my quota looks at the end of the month, only been able to get a couple of gig down so far.  I'm all set to do a lot more now :-)
