Just wondered what recent subscribers to Vodafone's home broad band have found to be typical periods between placing the order and getting service?

I placed my order on 22 May, just over two weeks ago. Since Monday of last week, the sign-up tracker has shown me stuck at step 3, with no activation date yet provided.

Is this normal?

Not really.... most DASL installs etc are done within a week. Unless theres an issue with the exchange........

Call IHUG and ask them directly what the hold up is.

Thanks, called them yesterday and the person I spoke to really could only tell me what was in the Sign-up tracker. She simply said to wait a few more days. It does seem an unusually long time to me.

We had a delay when we swtiched from Xtra as our local exchange was full. This probably added an extra week, so maybe three weeks in total. They did send us a couple of emails about where we were in the process.

I think they say it can take up to 10 working days if there are no other problems ...

Well this is curious.

It's two and a half weeks now since I initiated the transfer to Vodafone, so today I called them back again. The person I spoke with says that the credit check went through fine, but for some reason the application was still awaiting processing and appears not to have been advanced any further.

Now she's apparently e-mailed Vodafone's activation team asking that it be fast tracked.

I wonder if I've just somehow fallen through the system?
