Can't see an option to set the 5Ghz channel in the Vodafone Hub?

2.4Ghz channels can be selected, but nothing for 5Ghz, my 5Ghz channel is a bit congested so was  looking to jump to a clearer one.

It is defaulting to Channel 149

Do you mean the Ultra Hub? It's right there in the Wi-Fi settings beside the 2.4G:

I don't think it matters, but this is the latest firmware, version 17.1.7875-2461002-CRF731

Mine doesn't have drop down menus?just check boxes, at list it did yesterday, I'll check it again, and pretty sure my firmware is up do date too.

Try scrolling down the screen, 5GHz should be there.

I think somehow I had got it to load maybe half the data from the hub, or I was in the middle of changing passwords so it crashed during loading the webpage?

I definitely had check boxes for choosing the channel, and now as gaddman's photo I have a dropdown list.

Either way, problem resolved so sweet, but next time it happens (if again!) I'll screenshot it.
