Is the OnePlus 5 compatible on the Vodafone network. It is only showing H+ instead of 4g

@t0ny 4G band3 1800Mhz yes but I think not on 4G band 28 700Mhz. I am sure this handset only supports part of the 700Mhz that Spark use

 

Do you get 4G in the same location with SIM in another handset?

Think its the oneplus 5+ that starts to support everything in NZ, the 5 did not

I was asking with same SIM in another handset and make sure APN is just vodafone not www.vodafone.net.nz

My OP5 does connect to Vodafone 4G/4G+ on Band 1 and Band 28.

 

I think here in Christchurch the majority of the sites are Band 1 but if you drive out of the urban areas Band 28 coverage is pretty solid.

 

 

 

edit:

 

You can use Network Cell Info app to see which band your mobile is currently using.

I got it sorted. Apparently my account did not have permission to use 4g so was only registering on the 3g network. Didn't even know 4g was optional

Ah i have had that happen as well, think the option is there for when they use to charge you $10 a month for 4g speeds when they first released.

It's not a restriction as such 4G needs to be provisioned
