Hey guys,

i admit, I'm poking with this - I'm totally able to provide network updates from my end, but Vodafones i can only speculate.

So, Waitakere is an area that's been hit pretty hard, Still power is out in the township for the most part.

soon as things went down and low, we had a generator onsite powering the tower and exchange - no problem there.

The interesting part is...

Exchange is running on Generator

2Degrees gear is running on Generator

Spark gear is running on Generator.

Vodafone gear is still unresponsive.

Community members are rifle at this stage, met with logging faults being told very little.

What I'm suspecting is it's iver a sar card/reset required rather than Vodafone simply aren't on the generator power...

*Also poking the bear*

Vodafone have a "Just in time" policy when it comes to generators.

In my view that policy doesn't work in big events. Even their regional pops run like this (except their Strong Nodes).

@hio77 - thanks for the post, it was down earlier but should have been back up from mid morning when a replacement genset was deployed.

replacement generator?

There is one, Completely working and has done from day one when we went LV alert...

I'm sitting in my glass tower as @sounddude would call it, so can't drive up and check right now, but story just isn't aligning.

I've been pushing our guys pretty hard about the likes of Muriwai which took a little longer to source a genset being it lasted on battery for longer but honestly... Been really impressed with the speed of resolution or workarounds.

Why not switch your VF stuff over to slingshot ;) least that's on towers that would work!

The first generator either died or ran out of gas, not sure. But it was working yesterday, died last night AFAIK, and new one deployed this morning. I'm just going by ticket notes though, so who knows for sure. The point is it should be fine as of this morning - we can see traffic on the site.
