I get a text from 517 about every 2 weeks offering me $5 credit.

"We didn't want you to miss out on your $5 free credit, so we've re-set the clock to give you a little extra time! Reply YES by 9am Thursday & we'll credit you by Friday. Easy!"

Trouble is I don't know who its from. The list of known short codes on Vodas website skips 517.

I've never replied.

If it is from Vodafone then i'd expect someone here to get the same message.

Or am i the only one on prepay undecided

If it isn't a scam then I've missed at least $50 credit!

(Not in the right place? please ask me to move along)

It's from VodafoneNZ and is a legit offer and not a scam

Dear Vodafone;

Please identify yourself in these txt's. I have looked long and hard to try and figure out who these are from.

even your own Premium TXT services list does not mention 517. yell

*rant over, back to work*

Thanks Linux. Perhaps I will get me some of that tasty free credit next week. laughing

It's not listed under premium SMS list as it's not a premium SMS as it's free

Not necessarily, if you accept you might get removed from the numbers that get the offer the next week,  :)

Well at least they would stop texting me for a while.

(And I'd get a virtual $5)
