Your Netflix account is global, it just shows you what region you're in depending on your physical location (or VPN location).  Your better bet would be to consolidate your accounts to the NZ one as it will work globally and you can pay locally.

Sorry, I am confused. You said it was Global, but I am billed in USD and see USD content and can't view without a DNS Redirector.

I don't have a NZ Account as such so I am unsure what you mean by consolidate?

I don't think you can apply the Vodafone deal to an account that is billed in America.  Therefore your option would be to set up a NZ billed account, apply the deal, and then you can still access international content depending on "where you are in the world" even though you have a NZ billed account.  The point is you don't need an American billed account to access American content, like say you'd need an American billed account to access iTunes America region.

I'll see if I switch to this plan and apply it as suggested.

There's no real benefit to being billed in USD now.....in the old days it was cheaper (if you were on teh $7.99 USD plan), and before that before it existed in NZ.

Now I think the exchange rate is more beneficial to be in NZD.  I believe the process is cancel your account, let it expire, then sign back in on your same email address and set up your billing (removing anything that might make them think you're not where you say you are.....at least for the billing signup).

Yeah it's been a while since I did this, but you're paid till up until the end of your roll over date.  Then the next day you can reactivate it.   Of course this assumes you want to keep your history.  If you don't care, you can just let it lapse.

Expires on the rollover date.

I wanted to control it, so I called the 0800 number on the last day of the cycle - they then cancelled it over the phone and allowed me to resign online at the same time.

My account was out for about 3 mins

For those who care, the VF Netflix offer is worth $179 and it applies it to your account balance. You just login to your NF account from your device using the link sent in a text message. It applied to my US account and just did some form of currency conversion so I got around $136 added to my US account. 

 

 

 

Yep, that's standard for how the netflix api's work.
