This might be a silly question, but if I port my Vodafone mobile number to 2degrees, will my associated Vodafone monthly open term account be automatically terminated, or do I have to also contact Vodafone to close the account and stop them from taking monthly payments?

Yes terminated 100% you may have to contact them for a refund after about 2 weeks (won't be much)

Whatever you do, do not contact Vodafone and ask to close the account BEFORE you can confirm it's working on the new telco.

Got it, thanks. Process started, now just waiting for my number to port across.

All completed in about 3 hours from beginning to end.

It was a painless process and everything seems to be working including wifi calling, which is going to be very useful for me.

Hopefully, Vodafone will stop charging me....!

As long as you have no other active connections they will stop charging you

If only you knew how much industry effort went into making that porting so quick, seamless and automatic :-)

I'm sure it took a lot of work!

I'm wondering if it's completely automated or if it needs some manual input? If I switch another number today, would it complete to a similar timescale, or would it be actioned on Monday?

100% automated for sure and would complete today as well even if you did it 1am in the morning

Thanks, so I went ahead and transferred my partner’s number over to 2degrees today as well. It was even faster this time. Very impressed!
