Despite many requests, I continue to be spammed by Vodafone.

If I want something I will come to you, ok?

Have you tried simply speaking to the accounts team?

They will have a flag they can untick for marketing comms.

That's bad then... It's a requirement in some law or act, i forget which one... someone here will fill in that blank i'm sure.

I wonder if they are relying on s.11(2) as an 'out'.

(2) Subsection (1) does not apply to the extent (if any) to which it is inconsistent with the terms of a contract, arrangement, or understanding between—

(a) the person who authorised the sending of the principal message; and

(b) the recipient.

Can you set up a filter to automatically delete them? Or are they coming from a different sender each time?

Most of them are coming from "Vodafone".

I know your pain. It took a 15 minute phone call, including being put on hold 3 times, for them to take me off their spam text list. Each time the csr came back from on hold, he would describe the terms and conditions of the offer I was spammed about - I was like no no no I don't want the offer! I was getting at least 2 texts per week.

Now I just get spammed about their 'free' offers like topup to renew your monthly pack and get 3gb free for 1 week which isn't particularly useful to me

I PM'd @MikeHales and the 2 messages I sent are sitting there are showing as bold (unread?).

Last year it was 2degrees in a race to the bottom. This year Vodafone.

To be frankly honest Vodafone - your arrogance knows no bounds. Yesterday I called up to ask for the account name to be corrected to the company name which had been advised at the time of switching and the lady insisted I had to fill out a form (why?). This form hasn't even arrived in my email.

Whilst I feel your pain, I'm not sure how you expect rants like this, posted here, will help.

Send these sort of comms to Vodafone.  Post on their forum (if they still have it)

They don't spent their day reading each post here to find this sort of feedback and act on it.

I tried to get them to fix a mis-spelling in my account name and was told "Oh we can't do that, we'd have to create an entirely new account". I cancelled the account and walked away instead. This was several years ago shortly after the instore CSR literally laughed at me for asking when the Note 6 was going to be in store. "oh not for ages", despite it being launch day for the device in Auckland.
