Hi guys, my Xnet VFX line is not as bright and clean as I`d like it to be, so I`m wondering if the 10m phone extension cable from the ATA to my phone may be the culprit. Would it be better to take the ATA close to my phone and use a 10m ethernet cable instead to connect the ATA to my router?

Cheers.

10m should be fine. I have runs much longer than this going from the ATA, through several jack points, into multiple phones. It is likely to be something else:
-a bad connection in the cable or adapters
-a faulty or not good quality phone
-a cordless phone running on 2.4GHz (i.e. interferes with wireless network)
-an issue with your DSL connection

Try:
-test with a different cord
-test with a different phone
-ask WxC to change VFX voice codec to G711u (NB: uses more bandwidth and not ideal for FS/128 DSL or if your connection is throttled)
-check calls for packet loss (indicates possible DSL issue)

WxC can look through some call stats, but you can also see this during a call: open up the ATA web page, click into the voice tab. This will show the voice status. Make a phone call, refresh page during phone call, you will find packet loss stats here.
