I saw two vodafone stores in Napier during this week. One of the stores had this poster:

Obviously the store owner/operator wasn't very happy for not being in the "action"...

There's plenty of Vodafone stores with similar signs...

Certainly not Hawkes Bay specific. I would think you'd get sick of telling people the same old story day in and day out also.

They really aren't missing anything. I am waiting for iphone people to get their first months bills, as some people are going to have some really big data bills, if they are regually using their iphone. WIth 3G being on the whole time, the phone is constantly connected, unless you manually switch  off 3g and run it over wifi. I think we are going to hear a lot about large data bills in the coming months.

You can't be using it to it's potential then. 26Mb is nothing. If you are listening to radio show s/ TV, or watching you tube videos, which 3G speeds is good for, you would easily chew through 1GB of traffic month.

Then you need to keep a careful eye on your data because you're obvioulsy a LOT higher than 26mb. Vodafone may have a billing issue with your account, Do you maybe have a wifi connection at your house which your phone is using most of the time?

Does the Iphone not have a data counter on it?
In which case it would hardly be a Billing issue.

I've got a friend who is using his iphone tons, and is hitting similar amounts.  Admittidley he does use Wifi at home, but isn't that logical?

If you want to check your iPhone mobile usage go to Settings - General - Usage you'll be able to see all the data you've sent/received over the mobile network listed there.

Cheers

I love the faith you have in thier billing system ;) VF is reporting exactly what my iPhone is reporting for data usage

Are either of you two claiming this usage is to low using an iPhone yourself? I am yet to break 50MB (according to phone and VF) on my device and I've been using it since day 1. I'm not a low usage user either,

Granted when I'm home all data is over WiFi..

Haha, yes, their billing system  Wink I base my statement on previous experience with Vodafone's billing system and comments from current iPhone 3G users. Your 'heavy' usage may actually be quite 'light' by popular standards but more power to you then Smile
