I live in Hastings and the last couple of days my internet has been down. I've been told Telecom have been upgrading the exchange. It came back on this afternoon and to my surprise the upstream and downstream rates have improved.Laughing
Previously:      700  kbps  /    6500    kbps
Now:               944  Kbps  /    12524  kbps

Just thought i'd see if anyone else in the region has noticed improvements?

That is an ADSL2 enabled ISAM. Most people connected to that will see the difference.

Happened to me in Palmerston North around a week ago.  Looks like whatever I was plugged into was upgraded.  I went from 5 mbps to 6mbps and my modem reports CO Vendor = UNKNOWN_VENDOR.  It previously was ALCATEL.
