Firmware 2.01.06 has a bug in which the DHCP server's IP reservation feature doesn't work.
In version 2.01.03, this feature was working correctly.
I've had two warranty replacments for my linksys WAG54GP2 router before I identified it as a firmware bug with the latest firmware. The new units came with firmware 2.01.03 each time, and of course, I'd automatically patch it to the latest version from the linksys website, to make sure it was up to date.
After I'd had the third unit, I realised it was the new firmware, and then sent it back again for another replacement from the supplier (3rd time), and I'd then make sure I left the original 2.01.03 firmware intact and I'd not have a problem.
This was good in theory, except that when XNET sent the config down to my router for the VFX, it of course installed the new firmware also!!!
Linksys is now aware of this bug, and I hope fill fix it at some stage, but I don't know when.
So my problem now is that I need this feature to work on my router, and I've got no way to get back to the older firmware version.
So my question is to XNET is, can you please revert your provisioning configuration back to the previous firmware version (2.01.03) for now until linksys release the next version? I'm sure I can't be the only person who's run into this problem.
Jason.
