Logging into customer zone on the VodafoneNZ website has returned the above error message for over a week,

Told by Vodafone customer service the issue is with my computer and can replicate this on many different browsers

@JasonParis Please read the error message does this look like a browser error? longer than the server can handle

Also threads on the VodafoneNZ community same error message for others trying to log into customer zone

https://community.vodafone.co.nz/t5/My-Vodafone/Cannot-log-in-to-a-Customer-zone/m-p/224919#M5809

Can't wait for my contract to be up will be changing provider for fixed line to another carrier have recently moved my mobile number to another carrier (blue team) and customer service has been 1000% better my calls answered by friendly staff based in New Zealand

Just out of interest, are you trying to access the site from an old bookmark or email link?

What URL specifically is in the address bar?

Spoke to the CSR for 3 minutes before she told me she was going to get some help

Listening to hold music now for 25 minutes and counting. unacceptable! Still waiting for the staff member to come back

I'm not a customer, and have never visited that login page before, and received the same error after throwing in a random username and password.

Plot twist:

Now if I browse with an incognito window and try put in a random username and password combo then I get a proper invalid username and password popup.

Plot to the plot twist:

Seeing all sorts of default Sun Java System Access Manager pages. Almost like they have done an upgrade and lost all the customisation, branding and functionality needed :)

The CSR has now had me on hold for 30 minutes and then dumped the call into another team no handshake of the call nothing!

@JasonParis I got put on hold for 30 minutes after the call was answered by your staff member, All I asked for was how much data I had left out of the 300GB bundle as the Vodafone website is not working!

Disgusting!! Shame on you VodafoneNZ

IMO, customer zone is probally hanging on the skin if itself... its the old paradise kit I suspect.

My mum signed up to fibre in 2015 and was pushed onto this customer zone... lets just say its for people who like calling vodafone because you cant actually do much by logging in.

Not sure why VF spend $$ on marketing when they should be spending $$ on user interfaces....espcially if they want share price to increase....they need to have the public believe they offer a world class service.....but they are a long way from this.

Sorry about this thecatsgoolies. Great that the team are onto trying to sort this for you. Important that we understand whether this is an issue for us to solve e.g. is a problem with your connection, or whether this is indeed a fault with you device that you can liaise with the manufacturer on. Either way we are onto it. JP

Thanks for responding @JasonParis @PippaC and I know you are very busy but as of this morning still the same error message

Something has changed in the last 2 - 3 weeks that has caused this error and it's still ongoing this morning

Hi @thecatsgoolies, I’ve had an update from the CZ team this morning. They are aware of the issue, and it is most definitely at our end. Sorry about this!

The team is actively working to resolve it and have suggested that clearing cookies & using IE may be the better option for you until we get things sorted (the problem is encountered more frequently in Chrome).

With login credential handling we need to ensure we don’t introduce any further issues or vulnerabilities, so we’re working through this carefully and really do appreciate your patience.

@PippaC Can you please advise how I install IE on a MacBook Air? I don't use Chrome

Clearing cache / cookies is not going to help

I also came across this problem yesterday. I also use the Customer Zone method as I'm a old TelstraClear customer, using a 3 Alpha and 5 numeric user ID, the 5 numeric values being a carry over from the TelstraClear days.

When going to the vodafone https://www.vodafone.co.nz/ website, and the sign in bit

This then flicks over to the customer zone url https://www.vodafone.co.nz/#sign-in#sign-in-customerzone

Entering my customer number and password gives the error as reported.

This happened after a cache\history clearing in Google Chrome (Version 72.0.3626.121 (Official Build) (64-bit))

However, doing a cache\history clear again, and then opening a new Google Chrome Incognito window, and going through the same login process as above, results in a successful login attempt.
