Hey guys.

I just recently got the Xnet torrent package, And I see that recoil and gameplanet servers are counted as local traffic and there for are not charged to your data usage.

What I would like to know is, Is steam counted as local traffic?

Cause I dont seem to find anyone playing on the gameplanet servers. Im keen to play COD4, But not gonna use my bandwidth on it if its not free. And I dont seem to find COD4 servers on recoil... Or am I just doing something wrong???

Also what else is free and counted as local traffic for Xnet?

Thanx in Advance :D

The gaming servers are "free", but Steam content (as in the game files themselves you download from Steam) are not always local.. The popular stuff such as CS:S should be, but anything not popular is more likely to be held elsewhere therefore adding onto your data.

Recoil now carries a full Steam cache, so unless your Steam client picks another content server (which isn't unlikely), it should be free :).

I don't play games myself but I think it's really nice that xnet goes out of it's way to accomodate gamers. :)

Thanks for the answer, I emailed support and asked the same question (as I was billed for steam content).. still no response and its been over 2 weeks...
