Hi all,

I recently recently purchased an iPhone, paying full wack to purchse it outright. I was a new VFNZ customer, signed up to a You Choose plan and assumed this would entitle me to a handset subsidy. However I was told that, in order to get ANY subsidy off the iPhone, I had to sign up to both a You Choose AND Mobile Data plan.
Has anyone else had a similar experiance? Did anyone manage to get the subsidy without signining up to a data plan?

From my understanding you should get two subsidies, one for the you choose plan and one for the data plan,.....Ensure that you didn't get bonus minutes on the you choose plan, as there areoptions to your subsidies and they vary depending on the length of the contract.

Yes there are two subsidies but, from what I understood going into the store, they were separate and not only applicable if you didn't sign up for a data plan.
Have just noticed that I did get the extra minutes, but I wanted a subsidy not extra minutes...

For any other handset you can choose whether you want extra minutes or a subsidy, why not the iPhone?
